$ABBV is closing in on a nearly $11B cash deal to buy Apogee Therapeutics, per FT. The discussed deal would value $APGE at $10.9B, roughly a 60% premium to Thursday’s close, and could be announced as soon as Today. Apogee’s lead drug, zumilokibart, is being developed as a longer-acting alternative to Dupixent, with dosing studied every 3 to 6 months vs. Dupixent’s every 2 weeks. Apogee plans to start a Phase 3 trial in atopic dermatitis later this year.

$ABBV said the European Commission approved Maviret for acute hepatitis C in adults and children ages 3+. Maviret was already approved in the EU for chronic HCV, and AbbVie says it is now the only EU-approved treatment for both acute and chronic HCV in that age group. Phase 3 data showed 96.2% SVR12 in the intent-to-treat population, with no on-treatment virologic failures or post-treatment relapses.

ABBVIE $ABBV REPORTS POSITIVE PHASE 3 EPCORITAMAB DATA IN LYMPHOMA AbbVie reported positive results from a Phase 3 trial of epcoritamab plus lenalidomide in patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), per the company. Epcoritamab, marketed as Epkinly and developed with Genmab $GMAB, is a bispecific antibody already approved as a monotherapy for R/R DLBCL. DLBCL is the most common form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
