  CITI PARTNERS WITH COINBASE TO ENABLE STABLECOIN PAYMENTS FOR INSTITUTIONAL CLIENTS Citi’s $C large corporate clients will be able to accept stablecoin payments from customers through Citi’s merchant-processing services. $COIN will provide the blockchain rails and automatically convert the stablecoins into fiat, while Citi will settle the funds as the bank of record. The partnership is aimed at making stablecoin payments usable inside traditional banking infrastructure, including for cross-border payments. Separately, Citi is expanding its own blockchain-based Token Services to Japan and the UAE, bringing the platform to seven jurisdictions.
