  I officially sold the rest of my $CAKE position. I’ve been slowly trimming Cheesecake Factory because I believe the upside is becoming more limited from here. It was a great investment for me, but I see better long-term opportunities elsewhere. I’ll be using the cash to slowly DCA into $NFLX and $UBER over time.

  Portfolio Update | July 19 This week I officially started a new position in $NFLX. I also added to $NOW, $SOFI, and $UBER. My only sale was trimming part of my $CAKE position for a 94% gain. “Other” breakdown: $UBER 4.7%

  The hardest part of investing is not finding a stock to buy. It is admitting that a company you still like may no longer be the best place for your next dollar. That is why I sold $CAKE and started moving that capital into $NFLX and $UBER. Great company. Great investment. Better opportunities elsewhere.

  It honestly hurts to see $CAKE leave my portfolio. I’ve held it for nearly 3 years. It’s been a great investment. I more than doubled my money and collected dividends along the way. But investing is about opportunity cost. I think the upside from here is more limited, while I believe $UBER and $NFLX have a much clearer path to doubling over the next several years. Sometimes the hardest part of investing isn’t buying. It’s knowing when to move on.
