  EnerSys $ENS plans a $500 million lithium cell plant in South Carolina focused on aerospace, defense and specialized industrial applications. The 1 GWh facility is backed by a roughly $150 million DOE grant and about $200 million in state and local incentives. Construction is expected to begin in the first half of fiscal 2028, with full production about three years later.
