Rothschild Redburn Upgrades $FOXA to Buy from Neutral, Raises PT to $71 from $48 Analyst comments: "We estimate Fox is currently trading at just 9.0x pro forma 2028 EPS and 7.7x pro forma 2029 EPS, while we see the company delivering a 2026-2030 EPS CAGR of 23%, including synergies. In terms of FCF multiples, at the current price, the combined entity is trading at just 6.9x CY28 FCFPS and 6.1x CY29 FCFPS. That is a little misleading, as neither company pays meaningful tax at present. What this does mean is that the rate of net debt paydown is extremely fast. The company has guided to 2.8x pro forma net debt to EBITDA, assuming the deal closes at the end of June 2027. Our estimates came out slightly below that at 2.6x. Nevertheless, we estimate the company will delever to 2.2x by the end of CY27, 1.3x by the end of CY28, and 0.5x by the end of CY29. To be conservative, and on the basis that the company will ultimately become a full taxpayer, we have opted to value the combined entity on a multiple of EPS. We have previously valued Fox using an SOTP analysis, but the FanDuel option is now worth less, and we think most investors look past the tax-shield benefits. We also want to bake the impact of an early NFL renewal into our price target, as this seems a likely outcome. We have assumed Fox renews with the NFL after the 2027-28 season, meaning our CY28 estimates incorporate the new costs. Given the underlying growth rate, we believe a target multiple of 12x 2028 calendar EPS is by no means aggressive. This requires pro forma Fox to continue trading at an approximate 10% discount to Disney. Our target multiple delivers a 12-month price target of $71, previously $48, approximately 30% above current levels, and we upgrade Fox to Buy from Neutral." Analyst: Hamilton Faber

NETFLIX, DISNEY, YOUTUBE EYE US WORLD CUP RIGHTS WORTH UP TO $2B Netflix $NFLX, Disney $DIS and Alphabet's $GOOGL YouTube are all interested in challenging Fox $FOXA for the US broadcast rights to the 2030 and 2034 World Cup, per CNBC. Media executives are budgeting $1.5B-$2B for each tournament across languages. FIFA has signaled it is likely to sell English- and Spanish-language US rights together rather than separately, which would likely push the price higher. For 2026, Fox paid $485M for English-language rights and NBCUniversal's Telemundo paid $600M for Spanish-language, per reports. Amazon $AMZN and Apple $AAPL could also enter the mix, and discussions between FIFA and media companies are expected to begin within the next three months. FIFA has already awarded Netflix the Women's World Cup in 2027 and 2031.
