A TON OF THINGS HAPPENED IN THE STOCK MARKET TODAY. Here's a full recap: 1. Alphabet $GOOGL delivered a massive Q2 2026, with revenue up 24% YoY to $119.8B and operating income rising 30% YoY to $40.8B. Search revenue grew 17% YoY to $63.3B, while Google Cloud had its fastest growth quarter ever, surging 82% YoY to $24.8B and producing $8.8B of operating income. Net income jumped 298% YoY to $112.1B. On the AI side, the Gemini app reached 950M monthly active users, and Gemini models are now processing 22B API tokens per minute. The one major drag was free cash flow, which turned negative at -$5.8B, marking Google’s first negative FCF quarter in years. Still, this was the company’s strongest revenue acceleration in 3 years, driven by explosive cloud growth and rising AI usage. 2. AMD $AMD and Anthropic have reportedly signed an AI server deal worth tens of billions of dollars, per WSJ. Under the agreement, Anthropic would buy up to 2GW of AMD’s latest-generation Instinct MI450 chips beginning in the first half of 2027. AMD also plans to invest up to $5B in Anthropic as deployment milestones are reached, and is reportedly discussing a potential financial backstop for Anthropic’s future data center leases. The deal marks another major push by AMD to deepen its AI infrastructure footprint and compete more directly with Nvidia. 3. President Trump said the U.S. will respond to any Iranian attack on ships in the Strait of Hormuz by bombing and destroying one Iranian bridge or power plant each time it happens. Trump said the policy applies “from this point forward” and could include infrastructure located near or inside Tehran. 4. Tesla $TSLA reported a mixed Q2, with revenue beating at $28.24B vs $26.32B expected, up 26% YoY, but profitability coming in weaker as adjusted EPS was $0.33 vs $0.51 expected, gross margin was 16.8% vs 19.4% expected, and operating margin fell to 1.4% vs 5.4% expected. Automotive revenue grew 23% YoY to $20.52B, deliveries rose 25% YoY to 480,126, production increased 10% YoY to 451,758, and free cash flow was -$1.09B, better than the -$3.25B estimate. Tesla ended the quarter with $43.52B in cash and investments, while GAAP net income was $1.11B, helped by a $1.01B unrealized gain on its SpaceX investment. The bigger story was AI and autonomy: Cybercab production began at Gigafactory Texas, Robotaxi is now operating across seven major U.S. metros, active FSD subscriptions reached 1.48M, up 56% YoY, and more than 55% of new North American deliveries included an FSD subscription. Tesla also said Optimus production lines are being installed for expected production in 2026. 5. Nvidia $NVDA CEO Jensen Huang pushed back on fears around Kimi K3, DeepSeek, and China’s open-source AI models, saying U.S. companies should be allowed to use them because developers can download, fine-tune, and guardrail the models themselves. Huang said Chinese open-source models are “excellent” and argued the market misunderstood DeepSeek the first time and is now misunderstanding Kimi. His broader point is that strong open models should expand overall AI usage, not hurt closed models, and that more AI usage ultimately means more Nvidia systems, more data centers, and more demand for accelerated compute. 6. The top 10 most active options today by contracts traded were $NVDA with 5.1M contracts, $AAPL with 1.2M contracts, $TSLA with 844K contracts, $AMZN with 828K contracts, $MU with 803K contracts, $SMCI with 746K contracts, $SPCX with 745K contracts, $MSFT with 722K contracts, $INTC with 548K contracts, and $PLTR with 540K contracts. 7. Google $GOOGL raised its FY26 capex outlook to $195B–$205B, up from $180B–$190B, as the company pulls forward capacity to keep up with stronger demand. Google said only a small portion of revenue from existing TPU system sales agreements is expected to be recognized in 2026, with most of it flowing through in 2027. Because of supply constraints, Google also plans to lean more on third-party capacity in Q3 as a temporary bridge, which could create some modest near-term margin pressure. 8. ServiceNow $NOW delivered a strong Q2, beating on revenue, EPS, cRPO, and operating margin while raising its FY26 outlook. Total revenue came in at $3.99B vs $3.92B expected, up 24% YoY, with subscription revenue up 24.5% YoY to $3.88B. Adjusted EPS was $0.90 vs $0.86 expected, and cRPO reached $13.2B, up 21% YoY and ahead of estimates. The company raised FY26 subscription revenue guidance to $15.76B–$15.78B, while guiding for 81% subscription gross margin, 31.5% operating margin, and 35% free cash flow margin. AI was the biggest highlight, with ServiceNow AI ACV crossing $1B in Q2 and agentic deployments increasing 9x in just nine months. RPO rose to $29B, customers above $5M in ACV grew 23% YoY to 658, and deals over $1M in ACV jumped roughly 40% YoY to 123. 9. Stripe generated $3.2B in free cash flow in 2025, up 52%, as revenue climbed roughly one-third to $6.8B, its fastest growth since 2021, according to The Information. The company also reached $2B of revenue in Q1 2026. Stripe’s momentum is being helped by AI customers, with the company processing subscription and usage-based payments for OpenAI, Anthropic, and other AI companies. Its billing, invoicing, and tax products are also tracking toward a $1B annual run rate this year. That level of cash generation gives Stripe more flexibility to keep expanding, following its acquisitions of Metronome and Bridge, plus the reported Stripe and Advent International offer of more than $53B for PayPal $PYPL. 10. Apple $AAPL is reportedly gearing up for a major Mac refresh cycle starting this fall and continuing through 2027, per Bloomberg. The first wave is expected to include an M6 14-inch MacBook Pro and updated iMacs, followed later by redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros featuring OLED touchscreens. Apple is also working on new MacBook Air, MacBook Neo, Mac mini, and Mac Studio models, though some release timing may depend on memory-chip availability. 11. Baird reiterated Nebius $NBIS at Outperform with a $250 price target, arguing the company is well positioned as AI workloads shift from training toward inference. The firm’s bullish view is built around Nebius’ full-stack platform, strong software attach, expanding customer base, sector-leading growth, and experienced team from the Yandex carve-out. Baird also said Nebius is moving quickly to strengthen its stack through high-quality acquisitions, helping it compete in a fast-changing AI infrastructure market. 12. OpenAI is now reportedly forecasting roughly $750B of compute spending through 2030, up from about $600B earlier this year, as it continues locking down cloud and data center capacity, per WSJ. The company also announced a $20B initial investment in Project Camellia in Georgia, where OpenAI will serve as lead designer and developer for the first time, with 3.2GW of power contracted between 2028 and 2032. Other reported infrastructure commitments include 6GW with Oracle, $138B over eight years with AWS, and another $250B tied to Microsoft Azure. WALL STREET IS THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.

A TON OF THINGS HAPPENED IN THE STOCK MARKET TODAY. Here's a full recap: 1. Palantir $PLTR named Nebius $NBIS its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner, announcing a strategic partnership to integrate Nebius compute and inference endpoints directly inside Palantir’s enterprise perimeter. The integration will allow eligible Palantir commercial customers to run open AI models on Nebius infrastructure, continuously adapt them using proprietary company data, and maintain control over their compute, models, and data. The companies also plan to bring new AI compute capacity online faster, including modular data-center deployments in locations where power is already available. Palantir CEO Alex Karp said, “Nebius’ compute infrastructure powers your ability to run your own AI models under conditions you control. Our ontology and their infrastructure will undergird the sovereignty our partners are demanding.” Nebius CEO Arkady Volozh added that the partnership will help commercial clients run optimized open models on trusted infrastructure while maintaining control over their data and models. 2. The EU and Canada are reportedly set to announce a major “all-encompassing” partnership spanning trade and security after President Trump’s latest tariffs, according to Bloomberg. The goal is to build a new alliance that helps offset global power politics dominated by the U.S. and China. The partnership is expected to be announced on September 16, with Canada and the EU reportedly aiming to get “as close as legally possible” short of EU membership. Canada has also become the first country outside the EU to join the bloc’s $175B military procurement fund, underscoring how quickly trade tensions are pushing allies toward deeper economic and defense cooperation. 3. BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF $IBIT has attracted $3.7B of inflows so far this quarter, putting it on pace for its largest quarterly intake since Q3 2025. The fund has already added $459.8M in September inflows, following $3.0B in August, its biggest monthly inflow since October 2025. As a result, $IBIT AUM has climbed to $62.6B, near its highest level since mid-May. Since the start of July, the fund’s AUM has increased by $19.6B, or 46%, showing renewed institutional and retail demand for Bitcoin exposure through ETFs. 4. OpenAI CFO said at the Goldman Sachs conference that the consumer business is accelerating, with July revenue up 20% MoM. The enterprise business grew even faster, with July revenue up 32% MoM. OpenAI’s revenue mix is now roughly 50/50 between enterprise and consumer, showing that growth is broadening beyond ChatGPT subscriptions and into business adoption. 5. Schwab retail activity in August shows investors selling the software rip and buying the semiconductor dip. The top retail buys were $SPCX, $MU, $NVDA, $INTC, and $GOOGL, while the top sells were $NOW, $ADBE, $MSFT, $PLTR, and $ORCL. The shift points to more active portfolio management from retail investors, with money rotating out of crowded software winners and into AI, chips, and compute-related names after pullbacks. 6. Copper prices on the LME have surged to a record $14,533/ton, now up 47% over the last 12 months. The move is being driven by tight supply and rising demand from data centers, renewable energy, and power grids. Expectations that President Trump could expand tariffs to refined copper imports have also pushed U.S. Comex prices above global prices, creating an incentive for traders to ship hundreds of thousands of tons of copper into the U.S. to capture the price spread. As a result, global stockpiles are becoming increasingly concentrated in the U.S., draining LME inventories to critically low levels and leaving less readily available copper for buyers elsewhere. 7. Meta $META launched Muse, a personal AI agent that can take actions across apps and the web, including sending emails, booking travel, filling out forms, and making purchases with user approval. Muse runs on Meta’s new Muse Secure VM, giving each user a dedicated cloud environment with a separate Sentinel agent that reviews actions before they reach the internet. The agent can continue working after the app is closed, remember user preferences, and proactively move longer-term tasks forward. Meta is also integrating Stripe Link for checkout, with Shop Pay and 1Password support coming later. 8. IREN $IREN said its 2 GW Sweetwater Hub has been conditionally included as base load in ERCOT Batch Zero. Sweetwater 1 accounts for 1.4 GW and Sweetwater 2 for 600 MW, both part of IREN’s broader 5 GW+ global data-center development pipeline. At Sweetwater 1, the high-voltage substation is already energized, with 300 MW of gross data-center capacity under construction and targeted for delivery in Q4 2027. IREN also said additional large-scale projects across its development pipeline have been included in Batch Zero, though ERCOT classifications remain conditional and subject to further approvals. 9. The top 10 most active options today by contracts traded were $TSLA with 2.4M contracts, $NVDA with 2.2M contracts, $INTC with 1.3M contracts, $SPCX with 847K contracts, $AAPL with 689K contracts, $MU with 673K contracts, $AMD with 615K contracts, $META with 568K contracts, $AMZN with 524K contracts, and $CRWV with 477K contracts. 10. The U.S. government is backing Rigetti $RGTI and D-Wave $QBTS with up to $200M for quantum computing R&D. Rigetti signed a definitive $100M agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce to address key scaling bottlenecks in superconducting quantum systems, including cryogenics, readout electronics, and high-connectivity chip fabrication. D-Wave separately finalized access to up to $100M to advance its annealing and gate-model platforms, including work on a 100,000-qubit annealing system and a 10,000-qubit gate-model system targeting 100 logical qubits. As part of the funding, the Commerce Department will receive minority, non-controlling equity stakes in both companies. 11. Uber $UBER President and COO Andrew Macdonald purchased 70,000 shares for roughly $5.3M. Macdonald is one of Uber’s longest-tenured executives, making the insider buy notable given his deep knowledge of the business, operations, and long-term strategy. 12. U.S. data center construction spending surged 57% YoY in July to a record annualized rate of $75B, following a 46% YoY increase in June and marking the fastest growth since mid-2025. Since the start of 2021, data center construction spending has soared by $66B, or 717%. Since the end of 2023 alone, spending has risen by $51B. Over that same period, all other private construction spending — including housing, shopping centers, and offices — has declined by $120B, showing how dramatically AI infrastructure is diverging from the rest of the construction market. A TON OF THINGS HAPPENED IN THE STOCK MARKET TODAY. Here's a full recap: 1. FOMC decision week began with a clear AI rotation: long software, short semis. Nvidia $NVDA, Marvell $MRVL, Sandisk $SNDK, AMD $AMD, Nebius $NBIS, Micron $MU, CoreWeave $CRWV, and Intel $INTC were down 3%-7%, while Palantir $PLTR, Atlassian $TEAM, CrowdStrike $CRWD, ServiceNow $NOW, Adobe $ADBE, and Intuit $INTU were up 2%-5%. The move reflected a market trying to reprice the AI trade after the weekend’s safety debate around Dario’s essay. Semis and neoclouds sold off because their bull case is tied directly to continued AI capex growth which the market interpreted as slowing down if the pace of frontier model development slows down. At the same time, Trump rejected the calls to slow down as he posted that AI needs a “STRONG AND SMART” president rather than guardrails, said the U.S. was leading China in AI, and separately said Iran wanted to make a deal and that the US was open to engaging. Oil crossed $105 and the US 10-year treasury yield crossed 5%. The Fed will make their decision for a rate hike on Wednesday. 2. Palantir $PLTR, Nvidia $NVDA, and Booz Allen Hamilton are reportedly restricting Anthropic’s Fable model for sensitive work over concerns about its data-retention policies, according to The Information. Some enterprise customers are demanding irrevocable zero-data-retention guarantees before putting proprietary information into the model. Anthropic reportedly introduced rolling 30-day usage logs for safety monitoring in June, while its planned option for eligible customers to store logs themselves can still be revoked. Palantir is withholding Fable from its platform until it receives irrevocable zero-data-retention guarantees, Nvidia is limiting Fable to less-sensitive work while using Nemotron for sensitive internal projects, and Booz Allen is excluding Fable from work involving its proprietary cybersecurity software. 3. Trump called Jensen Huang during the All-In Summit and was put on speaker phone, where he defended the AI data center buildout and pushed back on recent concerns. “I'm telling you it's all a hoax. The data centers are great. They make people wealthy. They make states wealthy. AI is bigger than the internet. These people are playing right into the hands of China. We're not going to let that happen,” Trump said. Jensen responded, “You're right, we're not going to let that happen sir.” Jensen also said the fears from over the weekend were made up and that the companies involved have the control they need to navigate the concerns. 4. OpenAI has acquired Glass Imaging, an AI camera startup founded by former Apple engineers, for more than $300M. Glass is working to bring DSLR-like image quality to smartphones, and the deal comes as OpenAI and Jony Ive continue developing new consumer hardware. OpenAI’s exact plans for Glass remain unclear, but the acquisition is notable given Glass was valued at roughly $100M just last year. 5. Truist initiated Nebius $NBIS at Buy with a $355 price target, calling it a scaling AI-native hyperscaler still early in its infrastructure buildout. The firm believes consensus 2027E ARR estimates are conservative given recent pricing of $20M-$25M/MW for 1-3 year deals and $40M-$50M/MW for shorter-duration contracts. Truist sees a major opportunity ahead, estimating a $2.1T annual revenue opportunity at the cloud layer by 2030E, with scarcity and contract economics supporting upside to pricing and revenue. The firm also sees multiple paths for Nebius to reach 20%-30% adjusted EBIT margins over the medium term. 6. The top 10 most active options today by contracts traded were $NVDA with 3.2M contracts, $TSLA with 2.4M contracts, $AAPL with 1.6M contracts, $MU with 1.1M contracts, $AMZN with 957K contracts, $META with 906K contracts, $MSFT with 874K contracts, $INTC with 835K contracts, $GOOGL with 734K contracts, and $SPCX with 688K contracts. 7. U.S. consumers aged 40-49 now account for 26.8% of new consumer bankruptcies, their highest share since Q3 2015 and the largest of any age group. The 50-59 group represents another 23.1%, bringing Americans aged 40-59 to 49.9% of all new consumer bankruptcies, the highest share since Q1 2017. For perspective, that figure peaked at 54.3% in Q4 2011 after the 2008 Financial Crisis. Consumers aged 70+ now make up 21.5% of new bankruptcies, their highest share since Q2 2017, while Americans aged 18-29 account for just 5.9%, the lowest since Q2 2014. 8. JPMorgan upgraded IREN $IREN to Overweight and raised its price target to $65 from $46, saying the company is emerging as a top-tier neocloud provider. JPM cited IREN’s NVIDIA partnership, stronger customer momentum, and rising AI infrastructure pricing, noting neocloud contracts have moved from roughly $10-$15/W to $15-$20/W+, while customer prepayments of 25%-50% are helping fund GPU purchases. IREN has raised its year-end 2026 ARR target to as much as $4B, with roughly $1B of operating ARR today. JPM also highlighted IREN’s Microsoft buildout, recent deal with an unnamed frontier AI lab. Looking into 2027, JPM believes IREN’s planned ~0.5 GW expansion could command materially higher pricing, with deals above $15/W creating significant upside to the outlook. 9. Global semiconductor revenue hit a record $425B in Q2 2026, up 31.4% QoQ, according to Omdia. Memory accounted for more than half of total revenue, driven by AI demand and rising DRAM, NAND, and NOR pricing. Even excluding memory, semiconductor revenue grew more than 10% QoQ, well above the historical Q2 average of just over 3%. The industry generated $752B in revenue in the first half of 2026 alone, and Omdia expects Q3 revenue to surpass $500B, pushing the first nine months of 2026 above $1.25T. 10. Apple $AAPL has begun rolling out its new Siri AI in beta with iOS 27, adding personal context across messages, emails, and photos, plus onscreen awareness and systemwide app actions. The new Siri can find information across a user’s device, understand what is on screen, draft emails, add calendar events, and take actions across supported apps. Apple says the new Apple Intelligence architecture uses its own foundation models built in collaboration with Google Gemini, with processing split between on-device models and Private Cloud Compute. 11. U.S. diesel prices have officially risen to a record $6.20/gallon, up 78% over the last 9 months. In California, diesel has surged to a record $8.14/gallon, with some areas approaching $9.00/gallon. The spike comes as the U.S. enters peak diesel-demand season while supply remains historically tight. Jet fuel is also surging, now at $4.35/gallon, up 61% over the last 10 weeks, with prices rising another 10% in the past week as U.S. oil pushes above $100/barrel. Airline fares were already up 23% YoY in August, and if fuel stays elevated, September CPI could show fares rising as much as 30%. 12. The Clarity Act $BTC $ETH moved back into focus after Senate Republicans released a “final” draft ahead of Tuesday’s cloture vote, saying the text includes 126 Democratic-requested changes after more than a year of talks. The bill still needs 60 votes to advance, with Republicans holding 53 seats. Key updates include new ethics language requiring covered officials and spouses to divest certain crypto interests or place them in a qualified blind trust, a role for state attorneys general in enforcement, and a Treasury “circuit breaker” that could restrict stablecoin rewards if payment stablecoins trigger major deposit flight from community banks. The U.S. Senate is scheduled to hold a key preliminary cloture vote on the Clarity Act on Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 2026, at approximately 2:15 PM ET.
