  $ROOT is starting to catch my attention. Not calling it a buy yet, but this is the type of small-cap setup I like to research. The company went through a brutal reset, sentiment has been all over the place, and the stock is still extremely volatile. But underneath that, the business looks like it is finally starting to move in a better direction. That is usually where things get interesting. The key question is not whether the stock can have another crazy move. The key question is whether Root can keep improving the actual business. Better underwriting. Better loss ratios. Better profitability. More consistent execution. If those pieces keep improving, $ROOT could become a very different story than the market originally wrote off. Definitely one I’m adding to the research list.
