  CHARLES SCHWAB $SCHW BREAKS INTO PREDICTION MARKETS The brokerage is working with Cboe Global Markets $CBOE to roll out yes-or-no options contracts tied to S&P 500 performance, available to customers in the coming months, per WSJ. The binary contracts pay a set cash amount or nothing, depending on whether the index closes above or below a target price. A Cboe "plus zone" feature will let traders earn a partial payout if they are mostly right. Schwab plans to stick to finance events with verifiable outcomes, ruling out contracts on the World Cup or the Oscars. CEO Rick Wurster called prediction markets "not high on our list at the moment" in December. Robinhood $HOOD and Interactive Brokers $IBKR already offer prediction-market products.
